1. Another post gave a link that indicated
Woodward's source was NOT "Scooter" Libby. Someone is still in trouble.
Personally I think it is several people, then again I'm not Patrick Fitzgerald. Why hasn't Fitzgerald moved on it? I hope he has his reasons.

6. Fitzgerald needs the facts to build a case
He most likely already has a good idea who it was that screwed over Joe and Valerie and thus broke federal law. The problem is he needs enough facts "beyond a reasonable doubt" to convict. "Beyond a reasonable doubt" is the standard that has to be met before a conviction is had.

13. Very good point. One thing I might add
To get that "beyond reasonable doubt" standard you need evidence/testimony. With this case it does not appear that Fitzgerald has the luxury of physical items or a huge paper trail. There is great deal of testimony to this case. Eyewitness testimony has a reputation for being the "best evidenc" and simultaneously "the worst evidence". That can be cause for concern. Fitzy seems to be handling himself so far!

2. Wow.
It's perfect. "I don't recall" but "I had the list of questions" and "it's possible that I may have".

The wording is perfectly ambiguous enough to allow Libby to make the argument that Woodward told him about Plame, without Woodward ever actually saying he did.

These people are un-freaking-believable.

It's late, I can't process all this tonight. I've got to get my timeline out again tomorrow and see how this fits.

Woodward is playing the I do not recall or pleading the fifth when his notes say differently...
