WTF is this? ... "Miller Claims Bud Light Formula Altered"
Miller claims Bud Light formula altered

By RYAN NAKASHIMA, AP Business Writer

MILWAUKEE - The latest fight in the U.S. beer battle is a matter of taste. Miller Brewing Co. says rival Anheuser-Busch has altered Bud Light in the past year to make it more bitter and bubbly, rolling out the claim about Bud Light in national television ads that began airing Friday. The company said data it has collected show Bud Light's bitterness and carbonation rose from last year.

3. They could add diseased moose piss to Bud Light and it'd improve.

4. They're both "fucking like water"

Bubbly water at that. No self respecting beer ever had that many big bubbles. It's like kid's soda pop.

And it's served so numbingly cold to guarantee that what little flavor it has can pass both tongue and pallet unnoticed.

You want a good brew, try Hobgoblin Ale from the UK or Pilsner Urquell from Plsin, Czech Republic. And for christ sakes, serve it slightly cool (60F) not ice cold, so that you can actually taste it.

7. Ah!! Stout.

I love stout, porter, and bitters, too.

I used to live in Wichita, KS which at the time had a superb micro-brewery in the old town area. Their stout and porter were both excellent. Served at celler temp and with just perfect carbonation...

The River City Brewery... If it still has the same brewmaster as it had in the 90's, it would be worth a visit.

6. The history of "light" beer
So-called Light beer is what used to be called "baby beer"- in some states (Ohio, where I lived for a few years) baby beer, which is technically 3.2% alcohol beer vs the regular 6% and up brewskies, was legal for the 18-21 year old set, because it was deemed too weak to get anyone seriously crocked. The breweries eventually had an idea, and started advertising it as Light beer, and marketed it as a virtue instead of a cheap watered down no guts substitute. It caught on, and sales skyrocketed, because the yuppie set latched onto it and made it their own. And the world has been drinking baby beer ever since.

Gullible yuppies. Gullible world.
