PoliSci or Communications people, is there some rule that politicians
need to appear to have a full head of hair to be successful? It just cracks me up to see some of these guys spend time facing a camera only turn away and there is a huge bald spot extending from the crown of their heads almost to the napes of their necks. The front of their heads are covered by huge combovers. Schumer is one of these guys. Do these guys ever look at the backs of their heads in the mirror or do their barbers lie to them? It occurred to me that image consultants may be telling them that people respond better to someone who isn't balding. Just wondering about the extent consulting that goes into a candidate's physical appearance.
Most want to have that full head of hair look, because image and looks are so important in the TV era. Bush used to be fat and had an ugly ass unibrow. He had a total makeover. He's a perfect example of somebody who was made to be something they aren't. All image.
I believe Reagan dyed his hair too.
Men in general try to hold onto those last strands of hair, haha. Vain politicians are even worse. Sometimes you just need to let the combover go. It ain't fooling anybody. :)
