Howard Stern Praises Olbermann!
Howard Stern just played a clip of Keith Olbermann (as Howard says, "Whoever that is") naming Rush Limbaugh The Worst Person in the World, for his ridiculous "Adopt a Soldier" bamboozle, where Rush will "let" you pay him $50.00 for a subscription to his website, and he in turn gives it to a soldier overseas. After he played the clip, Howard said, "Thank GOD someone is out there calling them on this. I will now watch this Keith Olbermann's show. He's my hero of the year." And Artie went on to mock Rush for the next 5 minutes (gotta love it!). "Ladies'ngntlmn"...

I don't know how many viewers Olbermann gets nationwide, but Howard reaches some 12 million a day. GREAT advertising for our boy Keith! Great stuff. :)

1. Howard knows what's up
Everyone should buy a sirius radio and cross over to the future with him. It's a great product regardless of your feelings about Howard. Once you get one you'll never go back.

4. All well and good, but I'd recommend buying XM to listen to Air America
Radio.

9. I do miss Randi
But I can always stream her online. Sirius also has football and is not even partly owned by Clear Channel so it's got that going for it.

11. You're mistaken about that Clear Channel. XM has NO CONNECTION
to Clear Channel at all. That's a common urban myth.

13. Someone should tell XM about that "myth" then
http://www.xmradio.com/corporate_info/strategic_partners_category.jsp?category=marketing

All I did was type XM radio and clear channel into google and I got a link to xm's website calling them a "strategic partner" That's enough to turn me off.

17. Had you done a little more research, you would have realized
that the "strategic partner" thing means that they play Clear Channel content (CC produces LIVE CONCERTS).

The ownership of XM is here (and Clear Channel is nowhere to be found):

The strategic partnership was enough to turn me off.

7. Yeah, I'm getting mine for Xmas apparently. :) Sirius, that is.

The unfortunate thing is that there are 2 items on XM that I'd REALLY like (the MLB games and Air America), but that's all. I'll have to live with the NFL & NBA games and 24 hour Howard! I think I can cope (and still listen locally to Air America anyhow). :)

he is fair and unbiased - and these days he cannot hide his incredulousness with the * administration. I love WPITW, i think O'Lielly has won it several times -

8. I e-mailed him last night
after the show telling him how good it's gotten lately and especially thanking him for putting up a "White House In Crisis" banner across the bottom of the screen.Remember;it was just that during the Clinton impeachment debacle that drove Keith away the first time from MSNBC.His show is real fun to watch-serious and funny. The bit last night about I-pod porn was hysterical at the end when he made a rude quip to the serious young lady doing the report. It's gotten to be not-miss-TV for me lately.

3. Olbermann
is one Journalist I trust these days. From Olbermann's first show on MSNBC he would just deliever the news. I watched Countdown from day one and I am glad Keith is getting the recognition he deserves. Now, if Keith could only run for president!!!

5. That's what I was thinking..
KO has a great show and more people need to hear about it.

Ratings didn't help Phil Donahue but that was leading up to the lyin' war on Iraq.

And now Phil Donahue is on the Board for IWT(Independent World Television)..coming in 2007(early, I hope).

19. Do you watch Countdown, The Daily Show, Both, or Neither?
Edited on Wed Nov-16-05 12:56 PM by IanDB1
It looks like Olberman and Stewart are both popular with many of the same people. Not a suprise.

Wouldn't it be cool if the two of them did a Sunday morning talkshow together?

Do you watch Countdown, The Daily Show, Both, or Neither?

6. While Howard Stern disgusts me (and I share a birthday with
him AND Rush Limbaugh - imagine that one!!), I think this is excellent news for Keith!!

12 million listeners a day will certainly put a good boost in KO's ratings!! Of course, then we have to be concerned that MSNBC will pull his show - afterall, Phil Donohue had the station's highest ratings at one time and they pulled him. :eyes:

14. Yay!
And yes Keith should be the man of the year. He's great. I love his show. When I do watch the news it's only Keith and the local news (one network, the ABC affiliate, does really good stories and I love the team).

21. Howard is a pig...Hubby LOVES him, so I sometimes listen in. He
really despises what is going on in this country; but only became politically vocal after Colin Powell's progeny started going after him while head of the FCC. Better late than never, I suppose, Howard.
