20. I was joking that Bush is less popular than Torture
Bush's approval rating is 37% while 38% approve of torture.

5. This kind of question SHOULD be laughable
if you ran this poll in any other civilized country, i bet the response would be "yes" in single digits or not at all.

6. Each of those 38% should get a taste of the torture
Just a taste, I don't think they could handle 1/10th of the shit our government is dishing out.
But they can sit in their easy chair on the farm and make judgment on the rest of the world.

17. Actually no
They'd prove that it doesn't work. Take his two daughters into the other room, and torture the guy. Show him a card with a picture on it, say of a fire truck, then tell him that if he tells the torturers what was on the card, then they'll kill his daughter, slowly.

Then start torturing him. If he gives up the card, kill one of his daughters and say, "ok that was a test run".

Show him a second card with a picture of a pear on it and say "tell us what is on the card, or we'll kill your one remaining daughter."

He'll die before saying it, and if he survives the torture, there's a good chance he'll never say the word pear again, and probably not even be able to eat one.

Torture.Doesn't.Work.

8. I'd love to see them sign their names to that claim-
I've never voted in a poll that would give me any guilt or shame for holding the view i do-

It would help to understand the sick minds that have taken this nation hostage, to have names and faces to explain the hate.

After all, Saddam tortured prisoners in Iraq.

13. most disturbing is that these people DON'T think our soldiers should be
tortured either.

They really should get out more into the real world. What comes around goes around and goes right back up your ass sometimes, and condoning torture of "foreigners" means that we condone torture of ourselves when we are "foreigners" ourselves.

14. Don't put too much into the real-world validity of CNN's polls.
What are the response rate statistics?

16. Oh I know it's not too accurate
but still, the fact that they were able to dredge up 38% is sad, Even if the figure is half of that, 19%, it's still unbelievable.

18. I hope starkly clear questions become a habit
Like should Bush go to jail. Should Bush be impeached. Was the election rigged. Is the war for oil. Is Cheney evil.

I bet we can get higher percentages for even more "shocking" questions and not just miserable attitudes conditioned the RW Noise machine.

Is Bush an idiot? Are ID proponents liars or loons? or both? Can the media be trusted? Do we get the real news?
