Hey Watergate vets - isn't it rich that Woodward is on the wrong side now?
It just keeps getting better and better.

Now there are reports that Ron Ziegler (er, Scottie McLiar) might be on his way out?

Place your bets on the date for Saturday Night Massacre, The Sequel.

Coming soon to a (very happy) household near you!

1. Unfuckingbelievable
This little prick's nothing but a collaborator now.

Wonder what Bernstein thinks of this latest turn? He's always been the true leftie. Woodward was always the Yalie, the Navy guy, the WASP prince, the white boy who wanted only to hang out with his white guy buds.

He's part of the royalty now in DC, and he's nothing but a fucking collaborator.

Wouldn't you love to see Woodward get nailed by Fitzpatrick? How would that be for "ttttttttttthat's all, folks"?

6. Time for Bernstein to denounce him publicly
That would be a good comeuppance, the first of many.

8. Hindsight shows us many things
His "oh it's nothing" behavior on Larry King, his puff books on W - sure as hell makes sense now.

Yes, I'd love to see his ass nailed to signpost in Crawford, and I'm betting that Bob is not going to pull a "name, rank and serial number" when Fitz or someone asks him to flesh out the details just a bit.

I don't know what's going to happen next, but can't you just see someone showing up for work with a buzz cut and the AG's wife being named Martha...

5. I'm thinking he was neocon all along
his role in Watergate was to kill off the old repuke party so the neocons could take over.

10. Not that surprising, really.
He is a bad human being. It is ironic.

12. You know as you age you have a tendency to become more
conservative and more selfish/self-centered. Has Woodward turned Republican in his old age?

Makes you wonder how many more will turn up. This is just one part of a real threat to our democracy. I still trust Bernstein, but if I were him, I'd publicly distance myself from Woodward through criticism and verbally support the investigation.

I saw him as merely someone who was drifting into the comfort zone of Washington parties and Larry King guest appearances.

I did not find him credible or newsworthy anymore, but I must say I did not see this "reversal" coming to the extent it may have.

I'm gonna have to spend more time here. :)
