"Schwarzenegger indebted to Diversified Collection Services?"
A Texas donor to the national Republican parties and its leaders earned some “I owe yous” by becoming one of Arnold’s top donors.
James Tracey, of Austin, Texas, and head of Diversified Collection Services Inc, gave $21,200 to Arnold, and his company gave $60,000. Tracey also gave $100,000 to support Proposition 49, supported by Arnold, according to the Alameda Times-Star.

Diversified Collection Services gave $471,418 in soft money to the Republicans in 2001-2002. In 1999-2000, it gave $370,000, all to Republicans, and Tracey gave $72,000 in soft money to the Republicans. View details in PoliticalMoneyLine’s soft money databases...

Diversified Collection Services has contracts with the federal government and some states to collect outstanding student loans and taxes.

I absolutely HATE the fact that there are not rules against "outside-the-state" money being used.. Even when it's for "our" candidates, I hate it.. Statewide races should be totally financed from WITHIN that state.. The fact that TEXAS money helped decide a "Kelly-Fornya" election is infuriating :grr:

7. Collecting debts from the impoverished middle class is going to be big
business.

Isn't it amazing that CA'ians voted for a guy who is promising more of this kind of work.
