Nuke Canada?
http://blogoland.blogspot.com/2005/11/nuke-canada.html

(Michelle Malkin managed to find someone even crazier than herself to guest-blog:)

"EVIL REGIMES SET TO TOPPLE?

Keep a sharp eye on fresh developments in both Canada and Cuba, two countries with rogue, corrupt and repressive regimes that don't know when to cut their losses and leave town.

We're really allowed this threat to the north gather for far too long. It's time to drop some acid and kick some Canuck ass."

2. I guess we have to add Canada to the Bush 'Axis of Evil' ......
group. That repressive Canadian regime to the north is a real threat.
At first I thought I was reading The Onion. This is too funny.

3. rogue, corrupt and repressive regimes ? Isn't Delay in trouble along
with a whole host of others? Surely our spending scandal on dumping money on Quebecors to try and keep them in Canada - surely that isn't as bad as your savings & loan scandal or Iran-Contra, Watergate, and on and on.

And why are we being compared to CUBA. They haven't had elections in Cuba in 40 years.

And how are we repressive? Are we repressive to people? No! Are we oppressive to people like the Christian right is in the USA? No!

So why are we repressive? And who are we repressive to? Oh - I get it - the corporations are calling us oppressive. Well - they are not people. They don't get a vote. Just do your job - pay some dam taxes and shut the fuck up little corporations.

4. Like I always said
Declaring Canada would be strategic for Bush:

1) They are our biggest petroleum supplier.
2) It would take Bush only minutes to delivery fake turkey to Toronto.
3) Americans he'd say "always suspected the Canucks of being Rogue Socialists."
5) Soldiers would have shorter rotation and weekends home.
4) We don't play Hockey in Texas would be his theme.

5. Nuke Canada my Ass
I dare ya to invade. 1812 all over again. Heck all Canada has to do is put an announcement on the 6 o'clock news... "Fellow Canadians, those nutbars with the crappy beer south of the border are planning to invade again. Will the entire country please be at the border at 8 pm sharp to defend the country. Please bring your own pitch fork."

One thing they didn't say in the blog post that one of the reasons the PM is in trouble is he and Bush attempted a secret deal on something (I can't remember the particulars but the Canadians found out and were pissed).

Paul Martin is still in but he did have to go through a Vote of Non-Confidence. Better to keep him and a minority government because when you have a majority government all types of bad stuff happen.

9. Welcome to DU LittleOne...
How can we invade Canada without first initiating a draft? If we have a draft where would all the draft dodgers go? With no place for the draft dodgers to go Americas streets will fill with protesters. When the populations of protesters reach critical mass the draft will be forced to shut down. No draft means no Army to invade Canada and that means NO WAR. So roll up a joint of some of that crappy weed you guys keep shipping us and calm down.

I am of the opinion that Canada should invade America. The bennifits to America, hell to the entire world of a successful Canadian invasion are mind boggling. I have always liked your National Anthem better too. As long as you guys promise not to mess with our football season this year, I say go for it. (the Seahawks are doing well for the first time since Lincoln was president, please hold off on that invasion until after the superbowl OK???).

10. If we do invade, could you please manage to capture New England this time?
We could use some "Regime Change" down here.

13. and I'll take a corrupt liberal over a conservative
Edited on Thu Nov-17-05 08:59 AM by hopeisaplace
government any day..and lets face it, conservatives invented corruption. The day I vote conservative in Canada is the day they check me in to 999 Queen.

I remember when the PC bit the dust because of the GST and referendum etc. Conservative governments cannot control their fringe elements of their party. The US is a perfect example of that.

edit: spelling

6. Isn't Canada's military already
under the control of the US? I remember reading about the, was it Northcom, arrangements? Geeze I wish i had a better memory. Maybe somebody else knows about this strategic military arrangement with Canada.
