If Iraq is the central point of the "war on terra", as * has been proclaiming, how can his poll numbers be good in that dept? Considering all polls show a fair majority think his handling of Iraq sucks.

2. ONE reason: No new attacks inside the U.S.
...and even THAT rationale is wearing thin. His "terra" numbers are falling, too.

4. Because we haven't had any terra attacks in the US since 9/11
and all the increased terra protection he has provided with the Patriot Act and Homeland Security.

Don't you believe what the MSM has been tellin' us? :sarcasm:

11. Don´t forget: We sent flypaper to Iraq to stop terra here.
Raw Story addresses this fallacy

Now it is unquestionably true that Al Qaeda has not attacked on U.S. soil since 9/11. If you aren’t familiar with the catalog of logical fallacies, you will take this as proof of the wisdom of our “fight them there” strategy. If you know what “post hoc, ergo propter hoc” means, you know that the recitation of these two facts proves nothing. Causation is not proven by the calendar; a terrorist attack could come tomorrow. And if the toxic clusterfuck formerly known as New Orleans proves anything, it shows that we are even less capable of dealing with a major tragedy than we were four years ago. Thousands of National Guard resources that should have been in Louisiana and Mississippi weren’t, because they were propping up our overextended military in Iraq. Our economy, already groaning under the strain of massive increases in government pork barrel spending with no tangible benefit, is further hobbled by the nearly $6 billion per month cost of Dick and Donald’s Excellent Adventure...

BTW, ¨post hoc ergo propter hoc¨means: after this therefore because of this.

5. Some people still conflate blowing up random brown people
in invasions of countries unrelated to 9/11 constitutes 'protecting us from terra'.

That number has dropped precipitously as people have begun to open their eyes and go to their friends and neighbor's sons and daughters military funerals, as the violence increases.

14. I wrote a speech that would have given Kerry...
...a 39-state win last year:

"Ladies and gentlemen, tomorrow morning Sen. Edwards and I are going to take this Ryder truck full of ammonium nitrate and dragster fuel up to an Islamic center in the Buffalo area, park it outside, throw a lit cigar in the back, and walk away. Members of the media will be invited."

It would have made Shrub the new Alf Landon.

Kerry would have gotten 360 EV. He had Shrub dead on every domestic issue, and clocked him in the debates.

The only thing Americans weren't sure about was wether he would kill the heathen for them. It looked like, based on his Vietnam experience, that he wouldn't. And what Americans want in a president is a killer. I'm still shocked they elected Clinton. Remember, JFK ran from Nixon's right on 'defense'.

That's the American reality -- and it sucks.

So if he fights dirty, then he is countering the 'terrists' fighting dirty.

8. Because media completely protects him on that issue. Did you ever
hear the media have a full analysis of the 9-11 report? The HartRudman Report?

You never hear the truth about Bush's scores of failures on the terror issue in the broadcast media. NEVER.

When Kerry brought up in the campaign about Tora Bora and how Bush failed BIGTIME and let most of Al Qaeda go free there, Bush had his minions go out and call Kerry a liar, including Gen. Tommy Frank, who knew damn well they screwed up at Tora Bora.

No media questioned BushInc's veracity. Intel agents earlier this year came out and confirmed Kerry's version of what happened and that DoD and the WH tried to bury the story.

Yep....BushInc can always depend on their puppy press.

10. Its smoke & mirrors
Terra can't be measured. It can't be calculated with indicators. Its success or failure is measured in abstract opinions. How many terrorists can you find on the head of a pin? When we have another attack on US soil, it can be blamed on anything that is to their advatange at the moment.

If they had done a survey of people of every party those numbers would match the rest of them, in the tank!
