Fleiss Plans a Brothel to Serve Women
The former Hollywood madam and a partner hope to open 'Heidi's Stud Farm' in Nevada.

Former Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss bid farewell to Los Angeles on Wednesday, and put out the word: She's looking for a few good men.

In a move bound to hearten aspiring Deuce Bigalows the world over, Fleiss said she is joining with a Nevada brothel owner to open the state's first house of prostitution in which men cater to women.

Fleiss, whose partner notified Nye County officials of the plan this week, said they will charge $250 an hour and call it "Heidi's Stud Farm."

"Women are more independent these days; they make more money and it's hard to meet people," Fleiss said as she packed for what she said would be a permanent move to Nevada....

The daughter of a Los Feliz pediatrician, Fleiss became notorious in the 1990s for running a prostitution ring catering to show business people and international businessmen. She eventually was convicted on charges of money laundering, pandering and tax evasion. She was released in 1999, after serving 21 months in prison....

I don't feel old yet, but this birthday is hitting me hard for some reason. Maybe I am in the midst of a mid-life crisis. My wife told me I should have had my "crisis" before we had children...she won't let me have one now.

You're not in mid-life though, you've got some time before you reach that point.

substantially change the whole "dynamic" of relationships between males and females. In a curious way, it could well level the "playing field" as it were--talk about real equality!!!

The 'pay to play' thing has always been regarded as a male perogative, and women have often been thought, by many (not all, but the paradigm exists) to not want a simple single sexual encounter, minus a relationship. Or not NEEDING to pay, because they can pick up some bum in a bar, with all his odd baggage.

But this concept enables a woman to pick, choose, and refuse, without any of the other nonsense, so long as she is willing to pay for value received, and she can demand a certain level of quality, as well. This is a long way from a woman waiting by the phone, because she could NEVER call a man, if she was a "good girl!"

Heidi may well be tapping into a heretofore unanswered, unvoiced, and unrecognized, demand. It will surely be interesting to see how it plays out.

And then, there's the franchising opportunities--a "Cathouse" series on HBO? Must-see TV???

The woman has guts, I will grant her that! And surely, she is standing by for some heavy controversy...

I'm guessing there will be a groundswell of outrage from the far right--the same types who are curiously silent about the prostitution issue when it comes to simply men as customers, and women as their willing servants!

And also as the poster below states, there have been establishments like this for men for...centuries...so I think it's long overdue that this was evened out and there were establishments for girls too who might want a bit of...mojo workin' goin' on.

I've always liked Heidi Fleiss, I never saw what the big deal was over the "Hollywood Madam" stuff...who cared only the Frigid Right-Wing.

We women deserve to have a good time too if that is your type of thing.

This is the first time I have ever seen an organized business, a Cathouse, as it were, where female customers can go visit, do what they will, and leave.

I have heard of rent boys, who catered to men, and I have heard of gigolos, who cater to (in the films, anyway) aging actresses, but this is the first I have ever heard of a business, run by a madam, catering to women....

But hey, I don't get out much, or travel in trendy circles!

A friend owned a bar...he had a regular who would sit right next to the ladies room and throughout the night would ask women who were going to do their business if they'd like to do his business. He'd ask 100 women a night, 99 would slap him...all it took was one to say yes.

What's good for the goose is surely good for the gander. Why is it that men are so "special" to have such services available and not women?

'Pig in a Poke' exercise...where a woman has to sort of guess what she might be getting if she picks up some fellow and wants a no-strings encounter. I would imagine Ms. Fleiss would have a menu of services, that would be priced accordingly. And surely, there would be a certain standard that must be met, else she won't get repeat customers or word-of-mouth trade.

This IS sure to cause scandal and RW outrage, though, because females are not supposed to be 'allowed' to make decisions of this nature. They are supposed to be obedient servants to their husbands, barefoot, pregnant, and up to their elbows in dishwater!

The controversy could get interesting!

How arrogant is it to think that men are the only ones who should have these type of services. Isn't this capitalism and "pursuit of happiness"?

I'd love to see the wingnuts scream about this...and they will. It's truly circle jerk material for these losers as they not only have problems dealing with women, sex and human nature, but ya wanna bet a lot of those "church ladies" wouldn't mind a romp in the desert with a hunka hunka burnin' love? ...when my mom was in Egypt a few years ago, among all the "guides" and drivers etc. who swarm around tourists (not always a bad deal--many of them are very knowledgeable) were a few men offering to introduce her to "strong," "handsome" young men.

Apparently there's a steady stream of wealthy European women who want a bit of an "escort," with all that implies, and they're there. This gigolo deal is not a strict cash exchange, she just picks up all the tabs for dinner and hotels and buys them "gifts," like nice watches and things. Mostly older women. (No, mom didn't take him up on it! She would never cheat on my dad just because he hates to travel and she goes alone. :D)

This brothel thing doesn't sound like a bad deal to me. As lots of people have pointed out, it's a hell of a lot safer than picking up some random dude in a bar. Might be a lousy lay. Might be a serial killer. Might give off really toxic farts in bed. You never know. If you can afford it, it'd good to have an actual professional with references and someone you can complain to if it's not a good experience.

I've never had a problem with Heidi Fleiss. Or her profession.

That got to be kind of embarrassing for both of us later on...

Why do women need to pay for it? It's like dragging a hotdog through the dog pound -all a woman needs to do is go to any mall, anywhere.

I have a feeling this will be very successful. Those of you who say women don't need to pay for it, I say there are plenty of women who WANT to pay for it. Safe, no strings attached, get a dream man of your choice to service you for a while. Sounds perfect.
