New York Times: Not Since Deep Throat Has a Woodward Source Held So Many
The New York Times
National
Douglas Jehl
Published: November 18

http://www.nytimes.com/2005/11/18/national/18leak.html

WASHINGTON, Nov. 17 - Not since Bob Woodward of The Washington Post refused to divulge the identity of Deep Throat has the capital been so riveted over one of Mr. Woodward's sources. This time, three decades after Watergate, the question is who first told Mr. Woodward about the C.I.A. officer at the heart of the leak case.

In the statement published by The Post on Wednesday, Mr. Woodward said the source was a current or former administration official who had contacted Mr. Fitzgerald. He said the source had agreed to waive his confidentiality agreement with Mr. Woodward to allow him to testify to Mr. Fitzgerald, but refused to allow Mr. Woodward to identify the official publicly.

1. Anybody else think Woodward is just flat full of shit on this?
Like a few weeks ago when he claimed to have seen the CIA's damage assessment on the Plame leak. He was either lying or there was another serious breach of security there.

I think the fool was just talking out of his ass, personally. I think he's a primadonna.

5. Don't think he claimed to have seen a damage assessment just asserted that
one was done and it showed virtually no or minimal damage. He apparently was parroting as fact what presumably he was told by his sources in the Administration.

3. What a sad little suck-up you are, Bob
<"I have a good relationship with President Bush, and he wants me to do this, I think, as you know," Mr. Woodward told Mr. Rumsfeld...>
