8. I was talking to a fundie here yesterday
about * falling job approval ratings. The response? Too bad the media doesn't report more of the good he has accomplished. I couldn't frickin' believe what I was hearing.

talking about! I wonder if this fundie COULD have replied.

18. I couldn't pursue it too much
Edited on Fri Nov-18-05 10:03 AM by Coyote_Bandit
it was a mix and mingle type situation. It was hard to stay on topic with others coming and going.

What I did get out of it was the typical * is a good "Christian" appointed by God, Saddam was evil, we are on the march toward a "Christan" godly government (i.e. theocracy) and, oh by the way, sometimes we have to torture because, well, that's just the nature of war. Oh, yes, and the supreme court appointment and current nominee surely will be a improvement.

All this from somebody who doesn't read the newspaper (or any other news source), and doesn't always watch even a half hour of local or national news on television. By most standards relatively uninformed - but, frighteningly, better informed than some other fundies I know. This one admits to getting much "information" from Trinity Broadcasting Network. In the past I have actually talked to some fundies who admit to not watching or reading any news because, well, it is all just so negative. Apparently reality is too harsh for their beautiful little minds to grasp.

Typical uninformed irrational fundie "Christian" crap - which I am sure serves the interest of some televangelist religious panhandler somewhere.

Edit for spelling. Time for another cup of coffee apparently.

24. Most Okies I've met...Louisiana and Alabama...Wow! Look at OHIO
Have been real nice and haven't been Junior fans :) Met a bunch of them who had turned up for the Longhorns vs Oklahoma game, and they were very nice.

Louisiana is moving in the right way, only 45% approval of the asshole. It's STILL too high, Louisiana was President Clinton's best state outside of Arkansas.

Alabama 49% still approve...dammit, my Aunt and Uncle and my cousins hate the bastard...so does much of their town I reckon. Is there any hope for the rest? Probably not.

Texas only 44% approve, not surprised by this, I've only met two people that have liked Junior on my travels in various parts of Texas.

Check out Ohio: 36% approve, 63% DISAPPROVE!

There's NO WAY that the Bush bastard won Ohio...as we KNOW Ohio voted for Kerry/Edwards.

I refuse to believe that Florida is a solid Republican state.

Hey what you talking about "THIS TIME AROUND", Jethro and Cruella didn't fix the vote last time around EITHER, it's all just a big coincidence.

And despite some radically stupid opinions, really isn't all that bad. We're not dealing with an arnold schwarzenegger type loser...in new york, it holds more weight for what you do, not party. We all disrespect the stupid approval of bush...but when you need someone to help your state, you gotta take who ya gotta take. You have to admit not every dem appeals on the anti bush scale either.

36. I still throw this in people's faces in political arguments
If bush was so great, why does the state that bore the brunt of 9/11 so badly despise him? I insinuate it's because the media stretched the truth on the 'good' he did for NY after 9/11.

I usually win the argument by that point :)

3. interesting
Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, and Mississippi still favor Bush, while he's tied in Oklahoma and Nebraska.

Also, I was listening to people's comments on C-SPAN's topic of Murtha this morning and I'm amazed at how many Bush supporters still believe that the war in Iraq must be won and is a good thing because it helps us win the war on terror. Some still believe that we attacked Iraq because we were attacked.

The ignorance of some Americans is still appalling.

And then there's the horrible budget bill that Hastert managed to squeak through the house last night.

Will the Senate be able to mitigate it? I just don't know any more. Are Dems really Dems?

Sue

26. Especially when you look at the breakdown for Mississippi
he was going along at 50%ish approval, then it goes from 49% approval in mid-August to 55% in mid-Sept. So Bush got a SPIKE in Mississippi from Katrina.

I can't think of any other explanation, other than sample error.

13. I live in Oregon, have visited Idaho frequently, Utah occasionally.
Idaho is a wonderful state, lots of nice people, and I'm surprised by this high percentage of support. Kerry has his second home there, too.

Utah, again, very nice people. They have Senator Hatch, though, so I think that by showing support for bush they are by proxy giving their support to Hatch.

Disapproval: Oklahoma and Nebraska to the list of four. 44%A to 52%D in Texas!

I thought his ratings might go up by leaving the country, but people are still despising him! ;)
