And more...

WASHINGTON (AP) - Record-breaking fund-raiser Howard Dean on Wednesday hinted at the potential to raise millions more for his Democratic presidential bid: Only 1 percent of his donors have given the maximum so far.Dean finished the fund-raising quarter that ended Sept. 30 leading the Democratic field with nearly $15 million raised and about $12 million on hand. His rivals were bunched around $4 million or less, including Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry, who fell short of the $4.5 million to $5 million his campaign had estimated he'd raise, and newcomer Wesley Clark, who collected $3.5 million in his first two weeks in the race.

10. Me neither.
I think there are a lot of us out here willing to throw in a few hundred bucks a quarter to buy ourselves our very own president. Our well is deep.

6. What is notable:
1. The third quarter is historically the weakest quarter.

2. Kerry really came in low. Down from 7 million in the 2nd.

3. Lieberman did well. Interesting.

4. Dean kicked some serious ass.

This will really hurt Gephardt. He needed to really make a good showing this quarter. He'll be perceived as a weak fundraiser. Not good.

9. Dean grass roots quotient is $73.69.

GRQ = Dollars/People (my definition)

There may be candidates with lower GRQ, but this says alot about his contributors.

"The filing will reflect that the campaign raised $14.8 million in the third quarter from 168,000 Americans contributing an average of $73.69:"

17. Go Dennis! At 1.45 it doesn't compare to Dean but..
I'm impressed that he's doing that well considering how un-corporate he is, how little coverage he's getting, and how much his views contrast with popular beliefs of the American electorate.

Plus we know he makes his dollars go a long way.

But GO Dean, too. I've donated to both. Dennis is my A-team but Dean is my backup plan.
