3. prepare for "Cut and Run Dems" and that sort of schoolyard taunt
not that stupid stuff like that should dictate our decisions.

I'm still torn between the three choices.

5. Call their bluff by not voting.
If the repubs are immature enough to "neener neener neener", it will be apparent to more people. It is ok to not vote, to say "this is a bad resolution" and vote no also.

6. Other--make it REAL interesting
Have all Dems make no speeches, whatsoever, on the actual resolution vote itself. Have all Dems wait until the last minute to cast their votes, en masse.

And, here's the real interesting part...

Have all Dems vote with the overwhelming majority of the Repugs--whichever way they vote.

Why? Either way--we got game and repugs are exposed.

Because it's a non-binding resolution.

Because it doesn't affect whether Murtha's resolution gets a hearing, and doing it this way just might get it on the agenda.

Because the repug "resolution" is a piece of crap and won't end up doing anything substantial at this point, anyway.

Because then Dems can get tons of media attention and explain to the people who haven't been paying attention what the hell the whole farce was about.

Because they will also get tons of air time to show the difference between Murtha's resolution and the crap the repugs put out.

Because they can't be accused of "politicizing" the vote or being partisan.
