I'd like to take the time to thank France for attempting to save the U.S. troops who were eventually murdered by George W. Bush.

15. That's brilliant!
She can't legitimately complain about terrorism anymore after hurricane katrina and bush exposing himself as a terrorist, so she'll move to the newly terrorist targeted france to gain more reasons to bitch and moan! It's brilliant!

24. "Let's Go Home, Jake. It's Chinatown."
Maybe all they have left by way of support is fruitcakes.

An awful lot of these House Republicans that are telling us Bush would never lie, that we have to "stay till the job is done", and that Iraq is a bastion of democracy are the people espousing the very policies that are now being discredited. They're in trouble and they know it. This is their Alamo. Their last stand.

Murtha's right. By any objective standard, our presence in Iraq is exacerbating the instability there. When 80% of the Iraqi people say we should leave, maybe we should recognize those wonderful democratic principles we pay such lip service to and heed their desire. We didn't go to Iraq to fight terrorists, to democratize the Middle East, or to create a stable Iraq. It's over. Let's go.

To quote a line from a Jack Nicholson film..."C'mon, let's go home Jake. It's Chinatown."

25. The Nazis still hate France and want to see Paris burned.
Edited on Fri Nov-18-05 11:43 PM by TahitiNut
It's funny how France always seems to attract the hate of fascists, ain't it? Maybe it's because of the great French political and social thinkers (Voltaire, Rousseau, Montesquieu, Condorcet, Fontenelle, et. al.) of the 18th Century ... they sure didn't accommodate fascism. The "Age of Reason" left those incapable of reason behind.

27. France is more fun!
C'mon in, the water's fine!

Also the wine, cheese, legumes, art, culture, music...not to mention the intellectual discourse.

France - bashing is the ultimate red herring. And by the way, being against the war is the ONLY thing Chirac has done right in 10 years.
