Why is Drunky McChimpster drinking wine at this Asian summit
If he is a recovering alcoholic, this is a relapse witing to happen.

I am a recovering alcoholic (1 year, 2 weeks) and I know, through relapses and falling back four previous times that one drop of alcohol will get you to fall back into the bottle.

Bush proves, with these pictures, that he is STILL drinking, an perhaps, was never dry to begin with.

1. I didn't see the pictures
You're right, he should not be drinking. And congratulations on your sobriety. :)

9. He looks pretty sloshed in that second picture
In the first picture he's just got his "Vacant and Nobody Home" look.

The WH always lies and tells us it's "apple juice" or "ginger ale"...of course Paul Martin and whoever the other fellow in the second picture is, they must be drinking the "apple juice" or "ginger ale" too, considering their drinks are EXACTLY the same color as Junior's own drink.

24. The first picture could possibly be apple juice
You don't see a lot of Martin's drink, but to me it looks like a lighter shade of yellow than Chimpy's.

But in the picture with Pickles and the other guy, it's definitely the same beverage.

25. You're correct
I think about the color of the drink in the first picture.

In the second picture, the mediawhores lead us to believe that everybody's drinking some kind of fruit juice. When in actual fact, we're NOT stupid and we know it's wine and that the still boozing Junior is drinking it too. I'd bet money that Junior's drunk in that picture.

30. I hate the SOB - however, having said that - the pictures only show
him holding glasses and toasting - I don't see him actually taking a drink - nor do I know what is contained in the glasses.

I think this is the kind of smear tactics that Rove uses. Lets not go there.

2. Wine don't count.
A real Texas cowboy can't get drunk off no sissy grape juice.

:sarcasm:, of course.

26. Nah.
I sling a lot of bourbon, and that beverage is too light to be bourbon. Bourbon also wouldn't be served in a wine glass, and it definitely wouldn't be served in such a huge portion.

I'm guessing that's apple juice... although, it could be Rosé or Blush.

I don't think this President needs to be drunk to be a damned fool, any way you look at it. :-)

27. Ah... But... If You're An Alcoholic, And Trying To Sneak In A Shot...
or three, ya might put something in a wineglass (so as not to look like the oddball) that could be miscontrued as some sort of juice, but in actuality is much, much stronger, no???

10. You're assuming he hasn't had a drink before
You're assuming he hasn't had a drink before, I think he has been drinking since at least the pretzel incident.

Props on recovery!! Having been in the same place, I can only say that alcohol was the hardest drug, by far, to quit.

I agree about falling off the wagon. I'm sure people with stronger will power than me can socially drink after recovery but I know I can't.

31. I don't think he EVER quit drinking
That was all tactical crap made up by Rove before he ran for Pres IMO(or maybe it goes back to before he ran for Gov of Texas) so that no one could harp on his boorish previous behavior when Daddy was Pres--That way any vile stories that surfaced regarding bush's arrogant out of control conduct could just be blamed on his so called *alcoholism*
of the past.

I am sure tha guy always has been and still is a heavy drinker but I highly doubt he ever quit OR that he found Jesus at age 40--that's all made up BS IMO

Edited on Sat Nov-19-05 12:10 PM by ...of J.Temperance
ALL of them would be drinking apple juice and/or grape juice, their drinks are exactly the same color.

Of course MAYBE the all are drinking fruit juice...however Junior looks pretty pissed...although let's face it, he's probably got a secret stash of vodka* in his hotel suite and on AF1.

*Vodka is the drink that true alcoholics drink, in order to conceal that they've been drinking. Of course Junior's nose, stumbling and slurring kinda give him away.

19. Trust me. . .I've been to a couple of embassy dinner with my
Foreign exchange students (one at the Spanish embassy, one at the Slovak embassy and one at the German embassy, all in DC ) and they don't drink juice at those.

I forgot why they were having an embassy party at the Spanish embassy because I was only 13 at the time and all I cared about was the food, but the Slovak one was celebrating the Slovakian acceptance into the EU.

BTW, if you ever get an exchange student, take them to their embassy. It makes them feel right at home and put a huge smile on their face.

18. I don't think his approval rating would get any lower if he appeared
in public completely drunk off his ass.

Anyone who would be disgusted by this already disapproves, and those who still approve of him are so far gone that they worship him no matter what he does.

22. And Asians make drinking into a contest
My Japanese relatives forced me into sake drinking bouts that pretty much put me under the table. And they just laughed as I turned redder and redder and finally crawled off to puke like a Bush.

I think the Chinese also like this form of liquid torture.

28. Speaking of bongs...
...he probably scored some pretty good splif during his South American victory tour. I'm sure someone among the adoring throngs made sure that he was taken care of. A few tokes would take the edge off coming down from one of his frequent coke buzzes. Don't want to look snippy to all them furriners doncha know.
