I just saw Howard Dean give a *barnburner!!* of a speech
at the Uptown here in Kansas City. He's very charismatic in person.

He talked about community, about not dividing people from one another. He talked about telling people the truth and not treating us like a bunch of spoiled kids who'll throw a tempertantrum if we hear something that is a problem.

He talked about investing in small business and broadband. He said he wasn't going to change America, that we are.

I shook his hand. I'm so excited I can't sleep.

Did you know he was in K.C. tonight? Fundraising dinner down in the River Market and then a speech at the Uptown.

6. Well you know, that "Together we can . . . . " thing
isn't hard to believe, because I'm an adult, and I know myself well enough to say something like, "That means I have to do this, this, and this. Can I do those things? Yes, I can."

That is the attractive thing about this candidacy. It's a call to action. I LIKE doing things I care about, so I do them. Hence the message is believable.

I can't think of any candidacy as attractive since Bobby Kennedy.

I mean smart sexy.

I like what he's saying about campaing reform.

He's got a complimentary demographic relative to Dean too doesn't he?

11. Excellent!
There's nothing quite like seeing him speak up close! Sounds like a great speech, too, maybe something different from the usual stump?
