If you're a liberal in the US, you come to recognize the fact that your point of view is simply not allowed on television. I'm not talking about abortion or prayer in school or any of the other "acceptable" bullshit wedge issues- I mean the stuff that really matters- like labor laws, taxes, health care, real foreign policy discussions... all of it. You have to go to the foreign press.

Freepers would shit in their pants if they woke up tomorrow to the reality American liberals live in every day.

What would that world look like, I wonder...

No Fox News. Cable news would be dominated by a liberal news network with prominent anchors Michael Moore and Jeneane Garofalo. They would remind eveyone that their coverage is "fair and balanced".

The rest of the television news media would range from about Ed Schultz and Al Franken on the right, to Katrina VandenHeuvel on the left.

The Nation would be the "paper of record". The NYT would be considered a right-wing rag, and the Washington Times would be a fringe, subscription-only publication, mailed to a few hardcore right-wing true believers quarterly.
