CITGO to begin distributing heating oil at discounted prices
Good to know someone cares cuz our elected officials sure don't!
Thank you again, Venezuela!

"CITGO Petroleum Corporation plans to begin distributing heating oil at discounted prices next week as part of an initiative aimed at helping poor communities in areas of the country most affected by cold winters.

The initial program is scheduled to be launched coinciding with the Thanksgiving Holiday. It will benefit communities in the Boston area and in the Bronx, in New York City.

“In this endeavor, CITGO has the full support of our corporate parent, Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), the state oil company of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, who is deeply aware of the concerns that have prompted this initiative.” "

3. If we nationalized our oil, we could give it to ourselves.
Amazing how much overhead those billionaire CEOs take up.

5. After seeing how the government ran the war and disaster relief

you want them to run the oil industry too ?

I just want them to be regulated and monitored properly and forced to divest their retail from their wholesale (exploration, extraction, and refining) operations.

6. That would be the government doing the monitoring?

Clearly, as long as wealthy men pay bribes, there will be no regulation. So take it all. Destroy the wealthy men.

I mean, financially, like GM just did to its workers.

I believe in equal opportunity destitution.

7. Pharmacy companies
did something similar -- I don't see why oil companies with their outrageous pricing can't do something similar.

Give low income people gas at $1.50/gallon or something similar.

8. Citgo only one doing this
On Morning Sedition, Mark Riley said that members of Congress sent letters to the 9 major oil companies asking them to do this, in light of their record profits. Citgo was the only one that responded.

9. Support Citgo
Citgo is five miles further away that my nearest station. I plan my trips so I can buy my gasoline there.
