Let's go to Asia and eat at Outback Steakhouse!!!
What a bunch of losers. They can't even take in the culture of Asia. This speaks volumes:

"I live in a bubble," Bush once said, explaining his anti-tourist tendencies by citing the enormous security and logistical considerations involved in arranging any sightseeing. "That's just life."

The Bush spirit trickles down to many of his top advisers, who hardly go out of their way to sample the local offerings either. A number of the most senior White House officials on the trip, perhaps seeking the comforts of their Texas homes, chose to skip the kimchi in South Korea to go to dinner at Outback Steakhouse -- twice. (Admittedly, a few unadventurous journalists joined them.)

4. Is that the real menu?
Obviously I've never been there, but if that's real it's just about the most pathetic thing I've ever seen, and I used to work at Applebees!

"Waitress.. My "Grilled Cheese-A-Roo" doesn't have any "Roo" on it."

5. Outback is Florida.....
Tampa is it's home.. And the owners are as RED as they get. They spent a couple million in 04 trying to defeat the Florida Min Wage (which pass nicely..)

7. Well, isn't that just typically American of them.
Just like my parents, who travel far away and insist on Denny's or some other chain. I just don't get that.

For my parents, I would just tend to chalk it up to a pervasive American culinary sense of unadventure, but for the highest representaives of American government it seems more like a renunciation of all things foreign. Just one more indication that these guys would rather destroy culture rather than embrace it.

And anyway, I always knew there was a reason I loathed Outback!

8. There are a lot of people who do that...
my brother in law went to Spain..ordered tapas and then was so horrified by the "strange" food he didn't eat anything....and then looked for "american" restaurants the rest of the time...

hell he is fussy even here in the states....
