Still distorting after all these years: Zarqawi can't control Iraq, dick.
"Would the United States and other free nations be better off, or worse off, with Zarqawi, bin Laden, and Zawahiri in control of Iraq? Would we be safer, or less safe, with Iraq ruled by men intent on the destruction of our country?"

How can this question of Cheney's be taken seriously? This man is allegedly vice "president" of the US, allegedly a vastly experienced foreign policy guy, and he still doesn't know that a) al Qaeda is a teeny tiny portion of the "insurgency;" b) al Qaeda are Wahhabist Sunnis from Saudi Arabia and Egypt mostly; c) the Shiites and Iran would not let Sunnis of any nationality take control of Iraq without a bloody fight.

Does dick want us to get in the middle of that fight?

2. Dick has his plan and everything he says in public ...
is just for the "masses". He's hoping we're all dumb enough to not understand what's really going on and frightened enough to accept his simplistic lies.

3. exactly
this administration does not and is not interested in really figuring out the realities on the ground in Iraq. His statement is child-like and hollywoodish. He continues to not confront the realities of religious, cultural, and historical diversities that empower the conflicts. We just "John Wayne" it and pretend it will all work out in the end. We are long past that way of living in this world and as far as it working out in the end - it sort of depends on the end that comes your way. Take a walk past the Wall, talk to the Cindy Sheehan's and see if it all worked out in the end. We should all be outraged at this administration.
