My theory on new Plame Grand Jury - Fitz is building conspiracy case.
Much is made by both Woodward and Novak that their sources mentioned Plame in an off-hand way. But wouldn't that be the way to do it if there were a conspiracy by administration officials to out Plame? You would want reporters to think that you were just casually mentioning her name - or perhaps not even mention her name - just say "Wilson's wife", knowing that a good reporter could get the actual name soon enough. Furthermore, you would have different officials release different tidbits of the story. The whole thing would have been orchestrated by one individual. My money is on Chaney, but Condi is certainly a possibility as well. I think Woodward's testimony was the last piece to fall into place and Fitz is now going to "turn" Libby to sink the whole enterprise.

2. If Libby wasn't willing to flip before, maybe he now will
with a new Grand Jury in the wings. It definitely spells trouble for KKKarl, too. (His legal status is going to be in limbo for QUITE SOME TIME, it turns out.)

3. I don't think Condi is capable of this somewhat
complicated setup. It has too many moving parts and she would glaze over on the third move.

4. I am in total agreement with you!
However, I think that KKK would be much easier to flip than Scooter.

6. not so sure any of these varmints will flip...
notice how the hue and cry raised last week about bush not pardoning anyone has died down.

why not introduce a non-binding resolution, a sense of the sentate and/or house, that any pardons prior to adjudication would be premature, and any after would damagae the justice system- let's get the pugs on record....

with the option for pardon, and the ability of the lawyers to stretch this out for several years, why would any of these critters flip?

because they believe in justice and the american way?
because they trust in a justice system that they have worked to deconstruct?
because they respect the constitution?
