5. I agree, FEMA
I think that opened a lot of eyes. And it even astounded us that know the worst of this corrupt hillbillyocracy.

28. Actually, hillbilly's are pretty frugal.
(I know because I am one).

I think a better term is neo-nepotism. ;)

7. I'm on record as saying they jumped the shark with Schaivo
so I'd go with that one.

and I'm with the Rude Pundit as saying we should hang that around their necks in 2006 like Willie Horton. We must never let America forget just how cruel these people really are.

9. Terri Schiavo is a good millstone, but there are several
Every Repuke running for office in 2006 should have these running mates:

* The hundreds of people who were arrested for attempting to drown Terri Schiavo
* Tom DeLay
* Bill Frist
* Scooter Libby
* The three thousand dead American soldiers who would still be alive were it not for the Republicans' fealty to George Bush (I know it's not that high now, but we've still got a year...)
* A copy of "The Pet Goat"
* "Cowards cut and run but Marines never do, Colonel (USMC Retired) Murtha"

Join in. It's fun and easy!

13. Although I agree that the cracks appeared with Shaivo
Humpty Dumpty really fell off the wall with Katrina. Bush's "let them eat cake" attitude shocked the mainstream. There he was in Louisiana...joking about getting drunk on "hurricanes" and making his priority rebuilding Trent Lott's house..while people were dying.
It was reminiscent of 9-11...when he sat there and stared into space in the classroom.
For the squishy middle, Bush's inadequacies can no longer be shrugged off as a rich boy's idiosyncrasies. He's inadequate and his masters can no longer hide his incompetence.
He's naked. And it's not a pleasant sight.

23. I'm starting to to think Katrina was what broke its back.
To rip off James Wolcott, I think Shaivo was the point where people realized, "hey, these people aren't omnipotent after all. Why, they screwed up big-time, didn't they? What's the deal with that? I thought Rove was a 'genius,' that's BS!"

But I think Katrina is where it was painfully obvious to the nation at large that this was a clueless, rudderless operation, making it up on the fly and not managing at all.

18. good point
the shark jumping thing should have been the Gannon/Guckert Prosti/Pressboy roving about the Whitehouse, but somehow, they seem to have gotten away with that BU**SH**, unless it all still comes back to bite thm in their collective arses.

deserves to be voted for, I have to go with FEMA/Brownie you're doing a heckuva job Katrina disaster because this particular idiotic malfeasance cost multitudes of human lives and immeasurable suffering.

17. I gotta go with the majority on this one
The idiocy surrounding Schiavo reached new heights. I wrote a paper for my English class where I showed no mercy on the Republicans - and it really annoyed my fundie teacher (who sent it back a few times and the jokes' on her since I wound up getting a B in that class anyways!).

19. Can I nominate Michigan AG Mike Cox?
Who held a press conference to announce that he had an extramarital affair, and that he was being black-mailed by attorney Geoffrey Feiger, and that Feiger was being investigated for possible charges.
Co. Prosecutor David Gorcyca said about two days later that there would be no charges, and that the case would be referred to the Attorney's Board.
Tell us again Mike what it was you were saying about the sanctity of marriage?
