Defeat? A loss of honor? Failing?

Will people, fifty years from now, say hey "Bob, don't pull a GW on that report? It's really important."

I think they will.

3. in my case
I already use it, more or less. Standing around like a deer in the headlights has become 'pulling a Bush'. That was etched into my mind after his vacant stare on 9/11

22. Howdy neighbor...
"Pulling a bush" is priceless. I have been using this as a derogatory lately: "acting like a bunch of damned republicans" or in other cases, "that was damned republican of you"

4. Arnold probably turned the battle at Saratoga,
What did "W" turn - Besides the pages of history.

He shouldn't be remembered at all - except as a lesson for future presidents of what not to do.

No redeeming quality at all.

I can even give Nixon credit for doing SOMETHING.

I want to give this guy credit for being the first completed impeachment, that is it. I think he earned this.

13. yes -- at least Arnold went into combat for his country ...
Up here in Canada, our teachers always remind us that Arnold helped our side later, so for us to call him a traitor as well is rather ungrateful. So he has -- if not a fan following -- at least a few people who don't shun his name.

But I would wager that, even with the stigma of being a turncoat, most Canadians would say kinder things about Benedict Arnold than about George W. Bush.

And not even Nixon bailed out of his military service early!

their yard and kids will play "Here we go round the mulberry thing." The bush leagues will ask that they be renamed "pathetic leagues" and the use of the term "beaver" will skyrocket. We will "beat the vegetation" when we are looking for something and a bird in the hand will beat a royal flush. Folks will be "bright eyed and fluffy tailed." Last but not least, we will just tell people exactly what we think instead of beating around anything at all.

18. I love it! And people will say "I'm shagged out" not "I'm bushed"
... since they'd rather be accused of debauchery than compare themselves to a certain political family.

Meanwhile, the manufacturers of "bushings" will be redesigning their packaging, to read "items which make small things appear larger" -- even though this could also be applied to certain individuals in the administration -- because they don't want customers reflexively throwing up when they receive their orders.

9. GHWB
Just as importantly, what will become with the name of GHWB? Intellectual, war hero, the only recent President to sacrifice his second term by doing what was right for the country; his name will always be tarnished by the memory of his idiot son. If he didn't before, I'll bet he believes in birth control now.

16. That is funny.
Crappy fighter pilot. Should have stayed single.

He wan't a great president - only good compared to his successor (skipping Clinton).

But at least he was a REAL fighter pilot. I am so certain George Jr was not, I'd eat my hat if Rather was wrong - I really would.

And I don't wear a hat - that is how sure.

That is his problem. No one knows what the guys is - conservative - pilot - human being - we really don't know.

Joe

12. Unfortunately, probably not

because "GW'ing someone" or "pulling a Bush" or similar stmt will
never really indicate just one behavior. He is so bad at so many
things that it would be hard to choose.

Example:

Nepotism - appointing incompetents to high government office

Frozen with fear - his "deer in the headlights" 9/11 antics.

General inadequate command of the English language - too many to detail.

Falling of bikes / trying to open locked doors / etc - He out "Fords" Jerry Ford.

Knee jerk animal type response - he can't hide his feelings at all

and so on and on.

Which will we choose to make into a "kleenex" comment in everyday life? A "Benedict Arnold" or "Quisling" or similar? Too many to
choose from... so it probably won't happen.
