Chimp is coming back in a big way, things continue like this and we’re doomed.

1. Take a deeeeep breath
There's still more than 12 months until Election Day. Any temporary bump Chimpy gets from pumping up with Ah-nuld will be loooong gone by that time.

Besides, you didn't really think this band of thieves was going to just hand back what they've stolen? No, we're in this for the duration, and we'll have to wrench our country back from their broken, mangled and bleeding fingers. These bandits won't let go for any lower price.

2. Again: GOP now controls California
That's WHAT THE RECALL was all about. Of course Chimpy is there; if Hermann Goering had won in California, he would STILL be there, because now the levers of government now pass to the GOP, meaning Karl Rove in 2004. Gee, Arnold embraces GWB? What a surprise. Time to wake up.

7. Que?
The Republicans control California? What happened to the California State Legislature? Last I checked, it was still majority-Democrat.

9. Executive appointments
Hope you're right, and I'm wrong. The Executive branch is now in the hands of Rove.

3. What do you mean he's coming back?
I'm not watching CNN. I'm watching the Senate session on CSPAN, and they're tearing him up. I've also recently finished reading the conservative Tom Friedman's column that excoriates Bush. Also read a piece in Salon by Ron Reagan Jr that similarly rips Bush and Cheney.

I watched Wonk's Quicktime of Greg Thielmann on 60 Minutes 2, making Bush look like the terrible liar he is in front of a national audience.

I read that 80 percent of Americans consider the Administration's treason r.e. Wilson/Plame as a serious matter worth pursuing. I've read that Wilson is coming out with more damning information about the Administration's lies.

I also read that Treasury Sec'y Snow said California wouldn't be getting any money from the Federal Government, that they were on their own.

So I'm wondering what you're talking about with the Chimp coming back in a big way. Please explain.

4. voters don't watch CSPAN...sadly...and get their opinion from
talk shows and right wing radio...it's sad.

If there a crumb of light focused on Arnie and Ken Lay with questions...this never would have happened.

14. I would wager...
that no one has ever felt the need to try and coax you out of your shell, to get you to express yourself. :)

I smell blood in the water, and his own trail of lies and brutality will be his undoing. But all is not lost for George; maybe he'll get some publisher to give him a big advance on his coloring book/autobiography so as to ease the transition into mediocrity.

5. this is not a comeback
Edited on Thu Oct-16-03 11:58 AM by fertilizeonarbusto
It's desperate flayling. Not all the photo ops and spin in the world will suffice to hide a clear case or treason, a bankrupt government, a tanked economy and ever-increasing numbers of body bags from a war we were lied into. We're dealing with thugs, so it won't be easy, but with some guts and hard work we will win.
BTW, I strongly recommend Molly Ivins's new column at www.creators.com. Very scary stuff-and one more reason why *'s days in office are numbered.

24.  WOW, she quotes
"On a risk-adjusted basis, the only people who can make money on this are the investment bankers,"
Robert C. North, chief actuary for New York City's five pension funds, told the Times

That finally dawned on me last year when the market went up at a much slower pace than the funds that had crashed more quickly than the market.

13. Arnold Won't Be an Asset in 2004
Groper won the governorship without having to state what he proposed to do. By the time of the election he will have made a few major mistakes. He won't be an asset to the Republicans.
