You would think that mass U.S. casualties at the height of the
'debate' over Iraq withdrawal would be big news. But despite the
hoopla, the New York Times very carefully glossed over the deaths of
seven more U.S. soldiers in Iraq over the weekend.
The sniveling dissemblers in the NYT had the chutzpah to cover it up
by writing that seven "foreign soldiers" had been killed. I wonder
which country they mostly came from, eh? Go on, have a guess....
In fact, six were U.S. soldiers and one was a British soldier killed
in the south of Iraq. Another U.S. soldier died of injuries on Sunday.
So, for the record, here are the official details of these invisible
soldiers' deaths:
*BAIJI - Five U.S soldiers were killed and five were wounded on Saturday in two makeshift roadside bomb attacks on a patrol in Baiji, 180 km (112 miles) north of Baghdad, the U.S military said in a statement.
*HADITHA - A U.S. Marine was killed on Saturday when his vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb in the city of Haditha, 220 km (140 miles) northwest Baghdad, the U.S. military said in a statement.
*AL-KARMAH - A U.S. Marine died on Sunday from gunshot wounds received on Saturday in the town of al-Karmah, the U.S military said in a statement. Karmah lies 15 km (10 miles) west of Baghdad in the volatile Sunni Arab province of Anbar, a haven for local insurgents and foreign militants.
