OMG what CRAP. It was Hillary, Harry Reid, Bill Clinton all saying how they supported the war. What will the Dem's response ad be?

1. So, so, SO predictable!
Gee, a repuke using Clinton in a smear commercial? Why I never would have guessed they'd stoop to such lows! :sarcasm:

Sheesh, it's like they're not even trying anymore!

7. Bill Clinton calls for everyone to calm down
and they come up with THIS!

I'll join you :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

What IS the story with Hillary's hawkishness for this war?
I WANT to understand, but so far I've been able to come up with very little...

That would be the ONLY thing which would make me think twice about voting for her, if she were to ever run for POTUS; and as a Democrat and a woman, to not vote for her would practically kill me.

9. Her eagerness for war...
...derives from her Wilsonian affliction: she's rooted in a tradition that thinks that empire is benign, and that exercising US power is de facto good.

She's been doubly eager since 9/11, no doubt calculating that vengeance against some Arabs, any Arabs was the smart popular move for someone craving future political advantage. And as huge pro-war poll numbers showed, it was. Temporarily.

Hillary's an ex-idealist soured by bitter experience in Washington and warped by opportunistic concessions of the post-80s Democratic Party, whose right-leaning Democratic Leadership Council is a sad legacy of her husband. The DLC wanted war; why it wanted war is a subject for another post.

Some around here expect she'll flip-flop as soon as it's expedient. We'll see. I peg her as president to invade Venezuela.

11. Thank you for the information!
Are you serious about Venezuela though?

Do you have any good links regarding the DLC?
That org. puzzles me too, very much so.

3. Response ad ('tho they won't do it) ...
Clips of Dems looking into the camera and saying:
"Yes, I supported the war. I was told Saddam had WMDs."

"Yes, I supported the war. I was told they had mobile chemical trucks."

"Yes, I supported the war. I was told Hussein was an imminent threat, and that the oil revenues would mean the war would pay for itself."

ETC.

5. another idea..........
They could also interview Edwards and how he voted for the war and now admits that he was wrong.

Then they could have announcer asking how many Republicans have admitted they were wrong?

To admit that you've made a mistake (to me) is a quality of maturity. If any Republicans did admit their vote was a mistake, would help their poll numbers considerably!

4. I saw that!
It's ridiculous to assume that a person NEVER changes their mind based on new evidence. But that seems to be how the Republican mind works. If you supported the war 3 yrs ago, apparently it's unforgiveable to now change your position just because we now know the intelligence was not reliable.

An intelligent person DOES change their position based on evidence. Only a moron would still support this was which was based on lies!!!

I think the Democrats should run a portion of The Daily Show last week when Jon Stewart used some of Cheney's former statements against him!!

10. Opinion: It is a very effective ad. Now it is up to those in it to reply.
It is a very effective ad. Now it is up to those in it to reply. MOST IMPORTANT: The Dem. Party should foot the bill for an ad in response.

We should thank the GOP for demonstrating the price of being Pug enablers.
