So how come Padilla is still "Dirty Bomb Suspect"
in the headlines over stories that all note he isn't being charged with regard to such a bomb?

http://www.courttv.com/news/2005/1122/padilla_ap.html

Just who suspects him of wanting to set off a dirty bomb?

The articles can't admit that this guy was just dropped down a hole for three years over bupkiss.

1. Good point!
They are NOT charging him as an 'enemy combatant' and not for anything to do with a 'dirty bomb.' Does this kid look like he is an expert on radiological weapons? I predict they end up dropping all charges.

3. Not enough evidence to convict
I still suspect Bush misled us into war and just because America will never convict him doesn't mean Bush is innocent.

4. Power of Nightmares Documentary Said Dirty Bombs Aren't Effective
Just wanted to point out that even the US government and scientific organizations think that dirty bombs aren't effective weapons. We first heard about all of this in The Power of Nightmares documentary. Wikipedia shows where those sources came from.
