X Over Cheney's Face - Oops, Already Mentioned. Sorry
Edited on Tue Nov-22-05 09:09 PM by InfoMinister
Pretty sure someone has already brought thus up but...Someone revealed over at theninhotline.com that it's just a crossfade.

If the pictures aren't showing up below go here: http://www.drudgereport.com/flash4cnc.htm

"When in the history of television have there been technical errors and incorrect overlays? Oh, let me count the ways...

Also, if you take the white X screenshot, place it on top of the black X screenshot, and set the channels to "Difference" in photoshop, you can see the text below "(Transition) begins after 5 frames of black

My guess? The X perhaps indicates a crossfade. "

2. It's a cue point on a motion graphics file
Something in the switcher cross-faded to the file momentarily before it was 'rolling,' I HAVE seen really good switchers do the same thing. A $250K board running Windows XP, what do you expect.

4. I figured as much
My neocon neighbors are convinced Cheney's X is the product of a lefty/commie cabal at CNN. Telling them that a) snafus happen and b) CNN would be idiotic to do this intentionally made no difference.

I'll show them this, but it won't change their minds... "How can you say Iraq wasn't behind 9/11??"
