Anybody seen one of those color-coded terrorist alerts lately?

I was reading this article (you have to watch an ad to see it):

with first paragraph:

" It's finally Wizard of Oz time in America. You know -- that moment when the curtains are pulled back, the fearsome-looking wizard wreathed in all that billowing smoke turns out to be some pitiful little guy, and everybody looks around sheepishly, wondering why they acted as they did for so long."

And it struck me - we haven't seen a color change since (even) before the sun's tanning rays went away for Winter. My whole disconnect from primal fear of Arabs if giving me cynical thoughts.
Like, maybe, the color-coded system, coupled with polls and feedback to MSM outlets, was really a marketig effort for fascism, attuning the public mood to a climate of fear. And it ain't sticking to the wall anymore, so the only 'Pink Alerts' we're going to see anymore are anti-Gay Marriage Amendments.

I guess the big question is - was the media in on the scam, or are they just getting wise to it?
