MSNBC: Some of Cindy's group in Crawford have been arrested
MSNBC saying that some of Cindy's group in Crawford have been arrested. New law passed down there does not permit protests along the roadsides, apparently. Cindy is not there yet, but her sister was one of those taken away.
The Fascists keep on rolling!!!! More will come on this, I bet.

The times they are a changing. article & rant

The protesters that have set up camp outside of the Bush Ranch in Crawford, got a visit from the sheriffs department yesterday. It seems, that in between the time that Mrs. Sheehan left to follow the Resident to Washington DC to the present McLennan County, enacted a ordinance that prohibits roadside camping.
Today, the anti-war protesters are going to protest the new laws that limit where they can set up camp. Three of the protesters have filed suit in federal court against the laws, claiming that the laws are put a limit on free speech.
Hadi Jawad , the co-founder of the Texas Peace House says, that it is a act civil disobedience.
"We want to challenge the encroachment of our civil rights," he said.
Cindy Sheehan, will arrive on Thursday, Mrs. Sheehan was held up because of a emergency.

1. They should also ask for a stay of enforcement while the case is decided
By the time the thing hits the docket, Turkey Day will be over and done with....

17. That was Cindy's plan...
I heard her speak Monday night when she addressed this issue. She led me to believe they planned to test it...and I guess it's now in the works.

7. I hope one of the arrested is my buddy Packer Backer Bob.
Not that he deserves incarceration, mind you. But he'd talk the police's ears off till they were ready to pay the Crawford Peace House to take him back.

Bob, :yourock:

21. Updated: 12:22 p.m. ET Nov. 23, 2005
CRAWFORD, Texas - A dozen war protesters were arrested Wednesday for setting up camp near President Bush’s ranch in defiance of new local bans on roadside camping and parking.

McLennan County sheriff’s deputies arrested them for criminal trespassing.

Another dozen or so demonstrators left the public right of way after deputies warned them they would be arrested.

War protester Dede Miller, the sister of Cindy Sheehan, is arrested Wednesday for camping along a roadside in Crawford, Texas.

22. Arrested for trespassing? They could get a TICKET for that!
Which they wouldn't pay, of course...and then they'd be back at the ranch next day...
