Bush informed in 2001 of lack of Iraq-Qaeda ties - Netscape.com
Just confirmation of what most of us already know...it makes me sick.

http://cnn.netscape.cnn.com/news/story.jsp?idq=/ff/story/7000%2F20051123%2F0300000004.htm&ewp=ewp_news_1105bush_iraq&floc=NW_1-T

WASHINGTON (AFP) - US President George W. Bush was informed 10 days after the September 11, 2001 attacks that US intelligence had no proof of links between Iraq and that act of terror, The National Journal reported.

Citing government documents as well as past and present Bush administration officials, the magazine said the president was briefed on September 21, 2001 that evidence of cooperation between Iraq and the Al-Qaeda terror network was insufficient.

<SNIP>

Little additional evidence has emerged over the past four years that could contradict the CIA conclusion about a lack of a collaborative relationship between Al-Qaeda and Iraq, the Journal quotes a high-level government official as saying.

The magazine believes the evidence raises yet more questions about the administration's use of intelligence in the run-up to the war in Iraq.

5. I hope the light is finally is starting to go on in the hard skulls
of those 65% who believed the connection while putting their ribbons on their cars and trashing all those who disagreed with them as traitors. The info was out there before we invaded Iraq that the spin was on, but it was easier to believe what FOX and their ilk were propagandizing. IMO, there's no excuse for not being informed when it just takes a little curiosity and investigation to find the truth-especially when it comes to sending our troops into battle.

8. sorry, but wrong. He doesn't deal in facts or lies. He deals in
making up his mind, and sticking to it, regardless of facts or arguments.

Concrete Ideation - a mental illness by any other name.

7. I spread this on another board and got this link in response:
http://www.techcentralstation.com/092503F.html

It purports to show a link between Saddam and AL Queda. I know it's from 9-03. I know it's written by a right-wing nutjob. I need some help refuting it. Thanks in advance.

10. Yes but you are overlooking
they didn't claim Iraq/Al-Qaeda ties.
They claiked and proved Iraw/Terrorist ties.

If you want to argue anything on this be careful, cause
it's purported to be a part of the war against terrorists, which
doesn't automaticly mean Al-Qaeda.
