he didn't say anything about the poor dog. Maybe the dog left when everyone abandoned it and Brownie had not made proper arrangements for it's care during Katrina. Remember when he was looking for some kid to look after the dog--he was even going to let the kid have the run of the house.

I have some consulting advice for Brownie: before you go somewhere on business, locate a vet or other location that will board your pet.
