Did you see the ads for the new movie, "Fun With Dick and Jane?"
remake of a Jane Fonda/George Segal stinker, IIRC

anyway, they just showed an ad, in which, driven by financial duress, take to robbing banks

guess what sort of disguise they use to rob the bank in the clip

I guarantee it'll make you VERY angry.....

2. Yep...saw it too
it's pathetic

I think "Hollywood" is trying to make amends for their "liberal" ways. :sarcasm:

6. it didn't bother me at all
I don't think there is an intended juxtaposition comparing the Clintons to thieves, I think its just cheap humor.

10. Plot: "Dick" (Jim Carey) is one of the employees of an Enron-like ...
... company whose financial life is ruined due to their fraudulent business practices. In a "turnabout is fair play" sense, he plots to get even with corrupt business.

It seems to me that the choice of masks might be symbolic - iconic of the "good guys" getting even.

7. It wasn't a stinker. I loved that movie. Very
cleverly done and I thought it was funny. It might have been corn, but it was buttered.

8. Since Alec Baldwin is in it, I doubt it's a subversive reichbot plot.

9. Didn't they also do that in "Point Break"?
That movie with Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves, the two worst actors alive. :P :duck:

11. Have you ever seen Swayze's brother or cousin? make patrick look
like a shakespearean actor by comparison.

13. Another remake: Yours, Mine, and Ours with
Rene Russo and Randy Quaid. Ebert and Roeper both gave it thumbsdown.

it really holds up like a Bush balloon

19. Please, not everything is politically motivated
Not everybody lives, eats and breathes politics. I imagine that this is the result of some gofer being given the command to "go get a couple of masks", and the poor schlep went and did just that.

What offends me more about this movie is that it is just one more example that Hollywood is running out of original ideas and is simply operating on formula right now.

20. Don't make me angry at all, not one bit nosiree, not even a little.
What do I know? My hand hurts and I don't know why. I don't have enough money to go to the doctor. The heater core is clogged on my car so heat is gone. And I need to worry about the mask Jim Carry wears in a movie that doesn't come out till Giftmas week?

Think I'll go make some toast.
