Rummy DID advocate war against Iraq. Remember. this?
A week ago, SecDef Donald Rumsfeld made the Sunday PoliTalk shows circuit and made the incredible claim that he never advocated for war against Iraq. Oh really?

Anyone remember this quote:

"If the Congress or the world wait for a so-called 'smoking gun,' it is certain that we will have waited too long." - Donald Rumsfeld before the House Armed Services committe, September 18, 2002. (link)

I have the audio too if he needs it.

1. Unfortunately, the quote is meaningless Rummy=speak.
All I know is that while the FUN part of the war was going on, you couldn't get away from Rummy and his preening news conferences. Now, you never see the guy. What a dick.

5. Did anyone ever respond to this?
I expected "Media Matters", DU or "Think Progress" to be all over that little quote, yet I never saw a single response by anyone.

Did I just miss it?

2. Rumsfeld WANTED the Iraq war!
they all wanted it except for Colin Powell - even Stormin Norman said it was a mistake to go in again (until he was gagged)
