1. I like it. It would even be better if they can include..
the Mississippi Gulf Coast communities directly as well.

2. I heartily concur
Waveland, Bay St Louis, Long Beach, Pass Christian, Gulfport, Biloxi, Pascagoula, and more - all destroyed. But all we ever hear about is Nawlans.

5. How do you have a meeting in 3 states at once.
The press release does say they are committed to all.

6. Daytrip on buses to do a quicky tour of a couple areas
No way could they cover it all, but to see a bit more would be great. This sounds like a good idea, get more of them seeing reality of the situation.

7. Delegates could arrive early or leave late and help construct ...
... some Habitat for Humanity homes. How much is a day or two of manual labor going to hurt them?

8. Or clear brush/trees/debris
Get them filter masks and let them haul out slimy moldy stuff. Get them clearing out people's yards of trees and debris. Powerwash the sludge off the outsides of buildings.

10. Great ideas that you all have!
Let's hope someone in the DNC is listening.

11. Waveland, which is 85% destroyed, is 50 miles from N.O.
Biloxi is all of 2 hours East on I10.

9. Being from New Orleans, I know of the feeling that the Mississippi
Gulf Coast has often about feeling "left out". And, I realize that it is quite often justified. That is why this would be a great opportunity for the Democratic Party to pay attention to an area that has been neglected by the national party for way too long, and is (I believe) very willing to listen.
