7. those were not crocodile tears
Edited on Mon Nov-28-05 03:39 PM by Hubris Heaver
Notice Duke said he'll continue to cooperate witht the investigation. Bet that he knows of alot more corruption by fellow Repugnicans.
He can atone by endorsing the republican candidate and saying he'll follow in his footsteps. Then maybe Busby will have a chance.

10. That's was wunnerful.
I'll give him this much ...... in the end he admitted it and is ready to take the punishment.

If DeLay is convicted, he'll appeal until the mintue his thrown in prison.

9. Good -- I have no idea what area his seat encompasses
but she's one name I've heard about on the S.D. political scene who sounds good. Glad to know there are other good Dems out there (and hoping this one is a pickup for us!).

11. This will be a tough seat to take
norht county San Diego is a very republican area...but getting bluer all the time. Donna serves the city of san diego itself, and would have been a great mayor.
I hope she runs for congress, too.

17. Now I'm remembering -- didn't he live in Escondido?
I had grandparents who lived in Rancho Bernardo and an uncle in Escondido years ago (all VERY RW) and I'm recalling that the area WAS really red (but this was back in the early 80s). I'm still hoping that the other corruption scandals may steer people away from Repugs altogether and toward giving the Dems a chance.

Is there time for a special election? Or does Ahnold get an appointment?

13. what was this guy's record like
(otherwise) in congress?

The corruption in this country is mind-boggling. Many people are just not satisfied with a good life. They must have more.
Talk about 'VALUES':(

in fines when you took millions in bribes?
That doesn't seem right.

21. Just another example of Republican values at their best
but at least he admits to the wrong doing, and seems to be ready to face the music, unlike the majority of scumbags who even to the last minute think they did nothing wrong.

I guess by Delay's standards Cunningham is "an honorable man of high integrity.”
