RW'ers boycott Pro-Choice, Pro-GLBT orgs
Edited on Mon Nov-28-05 04:31 PM by ck4829
Can we do the same?

We saw a major success with Sinclair Broadcasting, can we pull it off in other ways?

4. They have as much right to boycott as we do
I just don't think they're as good at it as our side is. Sure we could pull it off, as you stated, the boycott of Sinclair was modestly successful, so why not something along those lines?
True story. Back in the early '80's, a major meat food processor was demanding that employees take pay cuts, give up benefits, take lie detector tests at the company's will, give up seniority rights, hiring scabs, and disregarding any and all safety rules of the day. The United Food and Commercial workers as called for a nationwide boycott and almost every Union member in America responded, nearly bringing this behemoth to their corporate knees. Now this company pays well, has excellent benefits and high quality standards, as well as partnering with the Union instead of trying to break it. The company? Hormel. So you see, even though that was many many years ago, it has been done before.

6. Our only problem is that we're not as connected
Have you read the Abramoff-Scanlon memos? This is proof of that. They could call up anyone.

I think that is a problem we have. We need to create a better network.
