Bill Oreilly is out of his mind -- how small-minded can one be?

No-transcript zone

Bill O'Reilly still won't let National Public Radio release a transcript of his recent interview. The Fox News star hung up on "Fresh Air" host Terry Gross on Oct. 8, after accusing her of doing a "hatchet job" on him.

He was angry because he felt she had given his new enemy, Al Franken - whose book "Lies, and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right" pokes fun at the right-wing media - "a complete pass" in a previous interview.

Although O'Reilly's spokeswoman wouldn't discuss the issue, you can hear the entire interview at www.whyy.org.

Franken isn't the only one who counts O'Reilly as a muse. Ludacris said his new song, "Blow It Out," is a response to the right-wing talk host.

The rapper, who lost a Pepsi endorsement contract after O'Reilly blasted the soda giant over hiring a "thug rapper," called O'Reilly a racist on Howard Stern's show yesterday for giving Pepsi a pass on the personality ikt chose to replace him: recovering drug addict Ozzy Osbourne.

3. Hey, Bill,
Why not let NPR report, and let us decide?

2. O'Really must be on Hillbilly pills...
same as that big mouth Matthews. If you think of it, to stay on that high every day of your life, it's not possible for normal human beings, unless they depend on high dosages of drugs. Rush the butt proved that.

5. How the hell
can O'Reilly control whether or not NPR releases a transcript of THEIR show? What a f**king nut case! I really think he's a paranoid schizophrenic.

16. Yes, how?
Does everyone who appears on NPR have to sign off on releasing a transcript?

Anyone here know what the policy is, and would care to share?

7. This guy has serious mental issues
He has a gigantic chip on his shoulder which made this interview at sparing contest. As far as the questions Terry Gross asked, there was nothing that bad.

25. I don't know
Do you remember her asking him about his father? He describes a fist fight with his dad. Seems he was beat up by his dad all the time and finally fought back beating his dad up badly in a mad rage.
He said yeah his dad beat him up all the time just like "most" kids. MOST KIDS? Creepy. Like this is normal?! Your dad always beating you up?! The guy has issues and is deeply disturbed and NPR caught it all.
IMO

9. I heard it
He actually came off half decent for a while, then at the end flipped out. My guess is he did it stategically for PR. That way, his fans can high 5 each other over how cool O'Reilly is.

11. The irony to me is that every time he opens his mouth
he makes his critics' case for them. How stupid does he have to be to not learn from this?

I'm sure it's too much to ask his small mind to grasp the concept that when one lies in his book, one is much more likely to get questions that make him uncomfortable than when one tells the truth in his book.

He's picking up where Bennett left of. Repigs Szars of Morality: William Bennet, Rush Limbballs, Bill O'Really, Linda Chavez (forced immigrants into slavery behind her home's closed doors).

in the studio. I guess Blotchy Bill is so disgusting they set up a prison visitor type room for Terry to interview him.

Oops. Edit for credit to SistersofMercy for "Blotchy Bill"!

Someone's gotta get through to him and use that.

Why not just listen to the interview, write down the words, and pass it around that way?

21. Racist AND sexist
...(Ludacris), who lost a Pepsi endorsement contract after O'Reilly blasted the soda giant over hiring a "thug rapper," called O'Reilly a racist on Howard Stern's show yesterday for giving Pepsi a pass on the personality it chose to replace him: recovering drug addict Ozzy Osbourne.

O'Reilly also criticized Ludacris' degradation of women, yet seemed to forget that Britney Spears has a Pepsi endorsement, too. Ludacris talked about bitches and hos; Britney plays one on MTV.

24. If you won't come on O'Reilly or if you walk out, you're a COWARD.
Edited on Fri Oct-17-03 01:14 PM by skip fox
But if you "terminate" an interview, you're principled. This is not spin. These are the facts. And if you don't believe so, ask O'Reilly, he'll set you straight. And he would NEVER spin it! NEVER.

(By the way, Gross was really soft-balling O'Reilly compared to Richard Symmons. Simmons stays but O'Reilly leaves. But O'Reilly is not a coward . . . .Really . . . Hmmmm . . . . seems like I'm back at the beginning.)

Oh, yes, . . . not allowing the transcripts to be released is also not cowardly! It's . . . . it's. . . geez. I'm stumped.
