John Wayne Loved America
Dear NewsMax Reader:

It was during the dark days of Watergate and the final, unsettling days of the Vietnam War, when actor John Wayne decided to speak out.

In "America, Why I Love Her," John Wayne explained in a special recording why America - and Americans - are special and why this country must remain great.

Soon after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, the family of John Wayne decided to re-release this moving testimony by their father.

More than 30 years after his death, John Wayne remains one of Hollywood's most popular icons ever and an enduring symbol of America.

Actress Maureen O'Sullivan once said that no other description for John Wayne is necessary than this: "American."

As you listen to the heart-warming words of this album, you will feel the pride and love that unites each and every American.

John Wayne's "America, Why I Love Her" is a must-have for all patriotic Americans, film buffs, collectors and poetry fans.

It makes a wonderful Christmas gift and a great lesson for younger Americans.

3. Isn't it "MOTHERfuck him AND John Wayne?"
ANyhow....it's time to cue up "John Wayne was Nazi" by MDC.

I have a bootleg of a speech he gave at UCLA in the early 70's, where he is drunk out of his fucking mind and complaining about student radicals "defecating" in campus trashcans. AT one point, he says, "It's re-goddamn-diculous!"

4. He won the Hasty Pudding Award which is awarded from Harvard
to some deserving actor and actress each year. And the Havites goof on you all day. They had a JW drive through Harvard Square in a tank. JW had crazy politics but The Man who Shot Liberty Valance is one great movie.

48. There were many scenes deleted....
.... at the final pass of the first release, some of which explain why the movie's ending is kind of choppy. I've heard that a version with these scenes has been released in Europe, but I've never seen it.

One of these days I'll get my hands on a copy :)

I loved making his moronic fans' heads explode from the cognitive dissonance.

Getting the irony of Marion Morrison's marketed masculinity is the dividing line between ignorant freeper mainstream America, and the rest of us.

25. Speaking of "monumental"
I heard that when Wayne died, they found about 40 pounds of impacted fecal matter in his intestines.

I believe he died from colon cancer.

I dunno -- it could be an urban legend.

Wayne was just a makeup-smeared, posturing phony. An overcompensating draft dodger. But "The Searchers" is still a brilliant film.
