It's been nearly 24 hours since Ann Coulter posted Lydia Cornell's private phone-number and email on her website in apparent retaliation for an article that Lydia Cornell wrote at BRAD BLOG about a speech Coulter had made in Florida. Remarkably, Coulter has yet to remove that private information from her well-read website.

Lydia responds at BRAD BLOG and shares some of the comments she's received. Most have been positive, though crank callers have been ringing and hanging up, and a note from one of Coulter's supporters said, "You liberal idiots and your ilk should have been standing in a line at the WTC when they were hit. I for one would not have minded."

To her credit, Lydia turns the other cheek...

Is it inappropriate to now say that Lydia Cornell is quite a looker? That's does not make Coulter's actions more despicable (nothing could). It's just an observation.

I have a question for Brad ~ why are there Ann Coulter doll ads on Bradblog? I didn't click into any of them, but I just wondered.

That's what I think, too. Coulter is in a jealous rage, which might be hard to notice because she is always enraged for some reason.

The way those particular ads work (Google's AdSense) is they try to figure out what readers might be interested based on text on the webpage. So sometimes they guess wrong :-)

I can filter the domains out, but only after I know about them. And the ads change all the time. So if you see that Ann Coulter doll ad again, just email me the domain that is advertising 'em (at the bottom of the ad) and I'll filter them out so it won't appear again.

The country is getting so sick and tired of these nasty, rightwingers. Their act is so beyond old ~ the 'let's act like spoiled brats' nonsense barely produces a yawn at this point.

That our media gives any time at all to a hate-monger like AC is a disgrace. She's ugly inside and out, and she's been ignored for quite a while, so she's screaming for attention again.

But doing something like this is crossing a line that even insane rightwingers I know, won't do. There may not be a criminal law against it, I don't know, but Lydia should record all the harrassing calls she gets and then sue AC. No one has to put up with that, and separating AC from her ill-gotten, Melon Scaiffe money seems like a public service. The proceeds could go to liberal causes, in Ann's name!

What a B*&^h! That is so wrong. Ann, I'm a man, Coulter continuously surprises me at how low she can go. Is there any recourse for Lydia Cornell? What if there's a wingnut stalker out there? We all know how unstable these wingnuts are, what if one or more of these whackjobs attacks Lydia? She should sue the pants off of Coulter, what a scumbag she is!

What is Coulter's problem, does Lydia have the name of the surgeon that did Ann's gender reassignment? This is low, even for Coulter. These people have exactly ZERO common decency. Man this p**ses me off.

Finally, does anyone think Coulter is slowly going nuts? (I mean more nuts than usual?) I've even seen wingnuts backing away from her. The more out there she becomes, the more dangerous she is.

Coulter counts on the fact that some of her followers are unstable, and that many of them are aggressive and rude. Unleashing them upon a critic of her was a deliberate tactic to harass Ms Cornell. But what is unconscionable for us is SOP for fascist thugs.

Coulter wanted something to happen to Lydia Cornell. She wanted some of her nutjob followers to harass or even assault Cornell to "teach her a lesson about being a liberal"
This was deliberate.
And she could just say "oh well, it wasn't my fault that her info got on my website. That's the fault of my webmaster. I'll fire him immediately."
Coulter wanted blood to flow. And I don't mean metaphorically. That's the only reason Cornell's private information was posted.
