Pence: US leading 25-1 in Iraq dead, Touchdown!

In the latest show that being pro-life is no impediment to being the war party, Mike Pence, chairman of the RSC, made what is possibly the most sickening football reference ever:

In the Body Count War: U.S. Wins 25-1
Frustrated GOP lawmakers are desperate for President Bush to do more to show how troops are winning the war in Iraq, and Indiana Rep. Mike Pence has an idea: Tell how many insurgents the U.S. troops are killing, not just the American death toll. "This is football season," says the Republican, who takes time to mourn with constituents who lose family members in combat. "People want to know if we're winning or losing . . . what's the score." Fresh from a trip to Iraq, Pence says he knows the score: just over 2,000 Americans dead, compared with 50,000 to 60,000 enemy combatants.

8. Charlie didn't get much USO.
He was dug in too deep or moving too fast. His idea of great R&R was cold rice and a little rat meat. He had only two ways home: death,
or victory. - Capt. Willard

2. So, by the time we hit 1,040,000 dead Americans, we win?
That would wipe out the entire Iraqi population, minus 700 Iraqi soldiers in a combat-ready state, and I guess a few thousand contractors with an Elvis soundtrack?

3. Mike Pence, my new hero
And what about dead children? How many of those have we killed? Whatever the number is, it's a blowout, because they haven't killed any of our children. So we're at, what, 10,000-to-0, 5,000-to-0 on the Iraqi-to-American child slaughter ratio?

And if I may borrow a term from another DU'er, what a fuckwit.

4. Just like the Tet Offensive in Vietnam
Many more Viet Cong died than Americans and the attack was rebuffed, but it was widely seen as a major setback for the American side.

Same situation here. Win the all the battles, lose the war.

5. there are no reliable figures....
what is interesting about this wack jobs figures is that i doubt there are 50-60,000 combatants to begin with let alone killed. if these figures are correct there is no one left to fight. time to go bring the troops home

A WAR OF NUMBERS, author Sam Adams with a forward by Col. David Hackworth. Copyright 1994.

My elder brother served in 'Nam and told of having to report kill numbers. Lots of pressure. They finally agreed on a methodology--a rat was one, a monkey was 3, a water buffalo 5 and if they really killed someone it was 10.

9. How many innocent people did "we" murder in "shock and awe," rep. pence?
Edited on Tue Nov-29-05 09:58 PM by Skip Intro
How many innocent people have we killed since?

50,000 to 60,000 DEAD?

How many enemies did we have in that nation that had nothing to do with 9*11 and had no wmds?

Tens and tens of thousands dead in a sad, sad move by our nation under the guidance of george walker bush.

To any lurking freeptypes that can't understand why that's important, why we can't just "move past it" - I say this - we killed people needlessly.

The United States Of America Killed people, masses of people, needlessly.

bushco's "lets just pretend there's some noble cause that justifies it all" line of crap will be a flash, then over.
