ok.. no more "Law & Order" for me!
Tonights SVU episode is all about how overzealous journalists can endanger the lives of innocent babies...

I've always known they "lean"... but tonight they just fell right over.

8. That sounds pretty silly to me
I didn't see the episode, but I lived through the 60s, and one thing I know about speed is that it made the serious speed freak impotent. I had enough disappointed girlfriends crying on my shoulder to learn that one.

It sounds like they hired writers from CWA and the Heritage Foundation, morons who don't know drug actions, how epidemics are spread, or even how babies get made.

Idiots. They need to fire those new writers, send 'em back where they came from.

14. Pssssst..... little blue pilll....ever hear of it?
And there are people who dont' have that problem with ED on stimulant drugs.

The meth thing is a SEX drug in the gay community.....with the help of the little blue diamond....and yes they are very wreckless when high...but the way they Law and Order handled it was very.....unfair.

6. When Law and Order first came out, they lost as often as they won and
there was generally a lesson as to why. Then, they began winning almost all of the time. If they did happen to lose, there was always a subtext that told us just how wrong the Judge or jury was. Or there was some arcane obviously detrimental technicality that which got the obviously guilty person off.

I stopped watching then. I liked it better when the police and D.A.s were not infallible. I liked it when they could and did admit to the occasional mistake.

But it has been a long time since the show had that sort of integrity. A very long time indeed.

7. I'll start watching again
when they get rid of the creepy repuke DA. Frankly I get a kick out of how shamelessly they steal their plots from the news (famous athlete commits murder and leads cops on slow speed car chase, man kills wife and dumps body in the bay etc.)

9. You shoulda watched to the end....
They turned the episode around (one of those patented L&O twists) and made the zealous/bad reporter into a zealous/good reporter, who ends up in jail for refusing to name his source on the disappearance of evidence via the Patriot Act. It's been a long time since I saw a reporter viewed as the good guy, anywhere on network TV.

12. Me too
The story was a good one, but the message was meant to scare viewers into thinking its wrong to interfere with journalists covering stories.

They definitely blurred a lot of lines, trying to make it seem as though the detective breaking the law was doing the right thing in passing info to the journalist. Definitely would have gotten a different response if they were depicted as collaborating in the plot to spread the anthrax.

The anthrax itself was a special irony.

13. For the life of me, I can't figure out how they can make sense of
putting that hick, Thompson, on as a DA elected in NYC. Can you see New Yorkers electing a DA who waxes eloquent using back woods cat an rocking chair expressions.
