Does Fidel Castro have a higher approval rating than Bush now?
I was thinking about this today. Even in dictatorships, there's always a significant chunk of the population that supports the dictatorship, or else it won't last. Castro's been around one hell of a long time, and most people who are really opposed to him flee. Would it be too much of a stretch to say his approval rating in Cuba is probably better than Bush's is in the US right now? If so, that just says a LOT about Bush now.

Probably not just that case either. I'm sure there's plenty of third world countries out there with tin pot despots who look like Mr. Popularity compared to Bush. Hell, even Saddam probably was far more popular in Iraq at some point than Bush is currently.

5. The U.S. and Cuba both have a literacy rate of 97%.
Compare that to the 100% literacy rate enjoyed by Norway, Denmark, and Finland. (Sweden of course, is lower at 99%.) (Just a little Scandanavian humor there.)

6. Costa Rica is about the same size as West Virginia, yet it has about the
same literacy rate as the entire USA. I wonder what the literacy rate is in West By God? :)
