Isn't a "democratic" government supposed to protect its citizens,...
,...from BOTH physical and economic predators that threaten harm,...or not?

 I thought a democratic government centered upon empowering its people rather than exploiting them. I thought a democratic government respected the people rather than manipulated them. I thought a democratic government was supposed to be the epitome of honesty, integrity and decency.

I thought. I thought.

I think my education about "democracy" has been betrayed.

No. I know the Americans' investment in "democracy" has been betrayed and the American peoples' beliefs have been exploited. Yet, those guilty of such betrayal and fraud and exploitation are still betraying and defrauding and exploiting.

This is insane. When did this nation become so weak as to allow this to happen,...to allow the barbaric political exploitation to continue? Seriously.

I feel like a proud American without an "America", without a U.S.A. I do NOT understand the absence of conscience that seems so insidious in my own nation. What happened? How did an entire nation lose its way, like this?

AAARRRGGGGHHHH!

That "democratic" and "freedom" talk is for the rubes!

Telling the truth? Nah, too messy. Won't look good on a resume.

Helping the poor and needy? What for? Are there no prisons? Are there no Walmarts?

Integrity and morality? Pffft! Excuse me, I just snarfed my Moet et Chandon all over my Persian rug.

Thanks for stopping by. Now get back to work.

I have some brush to clear.

6. The establishment of a democracy was in retaliation of that shit.
Concentration of wealth and power was the basis of our revolution, our democracy.

Right?
