Why does CNN continue to host Ann Coulter?

One day after Ann Coulter wrote a column examining Rep. John P. Murtha's (D-PA) proposal to end military engagement in Iraq, she appeared on the November 25 edition of CNN's Lou Dobbs Tonight to comment on it. In her November 24 syndicated column, she claimed, "There is no plausible explanation for the Democrats' behavior other than that they long to see U.S. troops shot, humiliated, and driven from the field of battle." She also falsely claimed that Saddam Hussein sought "enriched uranium from Niger."

Coulter concluded the November 24 column with the following analysis of "Democrats' behavior":

The Democrats are giving aid and comfort to the enemy for no purpose other than giving aid and comfort to the enemy. There is no plausible explanation for the Democrats' behavior other than that they long to see U.S. troops shot, humiliated, and driven from the field of battle.

They fill the airwaves with treason, but when called to vote on withdrawing troops, disavow their own public statements. These people are not only traitors, they are gutless traitors.

Shes the real traitor to America.

Oh yeah, and speaking of gutless... when was the last time Ann volunteered to go to Iraq?????

CNN has to "balance" all those facts that happen to make the GOP look bad with Coulter's lies. It's only fair.

MSNBC beat CNN in the 25-54 demographic in total day and primetime on Friday. (CNN would note that it was during Thanksgiving weekend.) Here are the numbers:

What do they care about audience tune-in and advertising revenues. They seem to be supported by the * neo-con agenda.

And so sorry I missed it, but I don't trust CNN for my news anymore.

I can't bring myself to watch the TV anymore, except for the Daily Show and nature/history/science programs.

Coulter is a piece of unspeakable filth and CNN is another big, corporate, media whore. Why are you looking for standards, ethics, morals or anything else positive from either?

She wouldn't see the green room of any show if she didn't make wacky, malicious statements. It's become her only staple.

Nothing she says is accurate or makes sense. I guess the network wants to attract people who, er, don't care about anything.
