i remember back in the 90s he was very liberal, then he turned conservative (after WLS hired him back), is he liberal again?

i liked him way back when, he talked a lot about mental health issues.

so he's on AAR now?

7. Heck, one of my favorite moments this week involved Jay Marvin.

Some Freeper-type called him up and called him a "Commie-pinko." Jay asked him to name one thing that he had said that fell in line with Communism, or anything articulated by Marx or Engels. The Freeper-type said, "Now, you're gettin' elitist on me." Jay basically told him that if you are going to insult someone, you have to know what the insult means and back it up with FACTS. Jay eventually hung up on the guy .. because he probably didn't even know who Marx was, and certainly hadn't read anything by him.

It was a great smackdown!

8. I liked Marvin too...ESPECIALLY in the 1953 film "The Big Heat"...(pic)

A FANTASTIC film, truly masterful all round this film is and I'd recommend it to ANYONE who loves cinema.

9. He was the first talk host I ever listened to

back when he was on KOA when I was a little kid in the backseat of my mom's car. Then he had a break with the conservative ownership as I understand and hit the road for Chicago. He's a good one, even if he would irk some people here as mentioned upthread.

Oh, and I can do a really good impression of the KOA bumper tagline. Wanna hear it? Ok, here goes:

"YOU're listening to the FIFty THOUSand WATT VOICE of the WEst (jaa jaa jaa jaaaa)... 850 KOA! DENver".

It sounds exactly like that. Really
