Two terrorists on the loose
Think about it. If we actually turn Iraq over and leave, then that would mean Bush has let TWO scary terrorists get away. Bin Laden and Zarqawi. Sure he created the boogeyman of Zarqawi, but now that he has it's a Catch-22. If we come home without catching Zarqawi, Bush will have let another terrorist get away. What would that mean to the Republican constituents who believe that this war is all about defeating terrorists? Bush didn't catch any of them. Not much of a legacy for a "war president".

1. Only two? Think about the thousands that have been
created because we're over there. The longer we stay, the more minds we likely will turn against the US.

8. Those are the boogeymen
Those are the ones HE blew all out of proportion in the minds of the Bushbots. To not catch either one of them would be devastating to the true Bush Believer. That's why he won't leave Iraq. It's THEIR reality that I'm talking about, not the reality on the ground.

2. Well, there is a slight misconception in your words...
* actually said he was a whore president. It isn't his fault the press misquoted him.

9. Exactly
And what kind of "war president" would end the war without catching any terrorists? He can't. That's the entire problem any Republican who wants to get out of Iraq faces.

11. THEY haven't caught ANY
Edited on Wed Nov-30-05 11:05 AM by sandnsea
That's my point. Bush has billed Iraq as the "war on terror", but he hasn't caught the chief terrorist. How can he end the war without catching the terrorist he told his Bushbots they were fighting????

14. you forgot saddam!

not to mention all those fellows in gitmo, abu gharib and around the world.

fyi: iraq never had a suicide bomber till we invaded - now there are hundreds - connecting the war in iraq to the so called war on terror is a scam

psst... pass the word ;->

peace

13. The use of terrorism
is simply a methodology of social control.

Communism=Terrorism=Threat to National Security=Socialists and so on....
