Bush stayed the course, and the people will see through it
For those of you here lamenting the response of the MSM, I respectfully ask that you calm down for a bit.

We watched the speech - it was Campaign 2004 all over again. The MSM is doing what it has been paid to do, but here is the wonderful thing.

Nobody pays attention. Dead bodies trump blond bobble heads, and John Murtha trumps Commander Coke Jaw.

It took the American people far longer than we had hoped, but they get it now. They know now that Americans are dying for lies, and that everything out of the Chimp's mouth is about as trustworthy as a carnival barker.

Miles O'Brien isn't going to stop the anti-war movement. Neither is Lou Dobbs. They are prostitutes without the fishnets, and their shelf-lives are fast approaching expiration.

They will spew out whatever they are told to say, truth be damned. Perhaps at some point the truth will become once again profitable, and they will speak it. Until then, ignore them. Most people do.

2. MSM is throwing their weight against the growing anti-war and...

anti-Bush movement. They are having an affect. But at a very heavy cost as they burn their credibility and soon they will burn their viewership. Alternate media will continue to rise.

They are corporate owned, and they (literally) have no choice.

One can argue (correctly, I feel) that the truth about Iraq has come almost entirely from the alternative media, which is why you are now seeing "attacks" on bloggers, web sites, etc. by the MSM.

3. You are correct, and it seems as though the media falls into
a default position of automatic support until someone steps up and says differently, then they feel empowered to begin dissenting.
