1. this debate is not about an artificial date for withdrawal
several times this president brings up this strawman and then knocks it down

2. Kerry makes a good point...
Bush acts as if it's his way or else you are for "cutting and running". Doesn't leave much room for compromise, does it?

4. Cut and run was a media creation to help take down Dem withdrawal plans.

5. I think either Hannity or Tweety Matthews said that first
No Dem ever said cut 'n run, but the Repukes and their whore buddies in the press did,

9. "Cut and run" was Mean Jean's creation ...
The media took it and ran with it despite the appalling lies and deceits.

11. Actually (blush)...I think it WAS us who started it first
If I remember correctly, Howard Dean brought "cutting and running" up when he was discussing with an interviewer that immediate pullout from Iraq should not be an option.

12. Hasn't bush cut and run from several press conferences already?
Why, I do believe he did just exactly that in China, didn't he?

Has Kerry brought up Beirut yet? Has any Democrat brought up Beirut and Reagan's decision to *cough* cut and run? Or will they allow the Repubs to drag out the Clinton *cough* cut and run on Somalia?

23. On Somalia
It was the Republicans who basically forced Clinton's hand to remove the troops from Somalia. I think Clinton had wanted to stay to finish the job, but the Republicans in congress basically forced US withdrawal after the "Black Hawk Down" incident (which, incidentally was a massively one-sided battle, 18 US soldiers died, while estimates of Somali dead range from 500 to well over 1,000 and left the warlord Aided with nothing.)

17. Who else is shocked CNN aired the rebuttal? Before the election
one had to pull teeth to get Kerry air time, now that the deed is done they give Democrats a platform?

Guess I'm glad though.
